I take projects from idea to production — across the device, the backend, and the interface people actually use.
I am writing to express my interest in working with [Company Name] as a freelance software engineer. For the past five years I have built and shipped production systems that span the whole stack: ESP32 and STM32 firmware, MQTT telemetry pipelines, Node.js and Django backends, React dashboards, and the cloud infrastructure that holds it all together. I am equally comfortable picking a control algorithm, writing the firmware that runs it, and shipping the dashboard a non-engineer uses to monitor the result. The work has been verified through the BNSP IoT Practitioner certification (2024), a HackerRank profile covering Problem Solving, Python, SQL, REST APIs, and CSS, and a public archive of 30+ open repositories.
What I bring is a single engineer who can own a small-to-medium project end-to-end and integrate cleanly into a larger team for larger ones. I default to TypeScript on the front-end (React, Next.js, Tailwind), Python or Node.js on the back-end (Django, Flask, Express), PostgreSQL or MySQL for data, and Docker plus Kubernetes on AWS or GCP for delivery. I have implemented PID, Fuzzy Logic, and LQR controllers and have run optimisation experiments with genetic algorithms. I have trained and deployed Scikit-learn and PyTorch models behind Flask APIs and visualised results in Plotly. I write the documentation the next engineer needs, the wiring diagram the technician needs, and the README the open-source community needs.
I work best when I can pair with a clear technical lead and a product owner, write in small reviewable increments, and let results speak rather than slides.
