Dear Hiring Manager,
I build firmware that talks to the physical world — and the dashboards that make that conversation legible to humans.
I am writing to express my interest in the IoT and automation role at [Company Name]. Over the last five years I have shipped end-to-end connected systems: ESP32 and STM32 firmware, MQTT pipelines, REST and WebSocket APIs, React-based telemetry dashboards, and the control loops running underneath. My most recent production work includes a multi-sensor telemetry stack on ESP32 (SHT20, thermistors, MQ-137 gas sensors), a fuzzy-plus-PID temperature controller tuned with Ziegler–Nichols and Cohen–Coon, and an RFID access system with relay control and Telegram alerting on ESP8266. I hold the BNSP IoT Practitioner certification (2024) and have been formally verified on HackerRank for problem-solving, Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
I work comfortably across the full stack your role implies. On the device side I write clean C/C++ for STM32 HAL, Arduino-core code for ESP32/ESP8266, and Python for tooling and test rigs. On the cloud side I deploy containerised services on AWS and GCP behind Docker and Kubernetes, wire MQTT brokers (Mosquitto, EMQX, AWS IoT Core) to Node.js and Django backends, and front the data with React + Next.js dashboards using WebSockets for live updates. I have implemented PID, Fuzzy Logic, and LQR controllers and have run auto-tuning experiments with genetic algorithms; I am comfortable picking the right loop for the plant rather than defending a favourite one.
Operating remotely from Indonesia since 2018, I am used to async collaboration across time zones, written-first updates, and shipping in short, reviewable slices. I am equally comfortable pair-debugging a soldering iron issue on a video call and reviewing a pull request in CI. My standard rate is USD 35/hour with a USD 250 project minimum, negotiable on scope and duration; I am open to short retainers for ongoing automation work and to longer engagements where the architecture deserves a steady pair of hands.
I would welcome a conversation about the specifics of the role and the systems you are building. You can reach me at azzar.mr.zs@gmail.com or +62 822 3252 9804, and the full project archive is at 1999azzar.github.io/1999AZZAR. Thank you for your time — I look forward to hearing from you.
